Every once in a while, we always come across a flick that makes us perplexed to the extent that it becomes hard for us to abstain from talking about it. One such series is the comedy-drama Never Have I Ever. Created by Lang Fisher, and Mindy Kaling, the adolescent romance drama starred Maitreyi Ramakrishnan.
The inaugural season hit Netflix back in April 2020. The streaming behemoth renewed the series for the second season in July, 2020 and it premiered on July 15, 2021. A third season was announced in August 2021 and it aired on August 12, 2022.
The series focused on Kaling’s childhood life in Boston and it’s all about an Indian-American high school student, who tries to meet two ends after the sudden demise of her beloved father. The entire three seasons received favorable responses from the viewers and thus, a fourth and final season is under development and is slated to release in 2023.
Never Have I Ever is a drama brave enough to portray the South Asian representation in Hollywood and it is also renowned for breaking Asian stereotypes.
