The dates of various events will depend upon the moon’s position as the Islamic calendar is based upon the lunar cycle. Having any food, drinks, alcohol, or smoking is strictly prohibited for the Muslims after taking Sehri in the dawn. Only Iftar is the time to break this fast for the day. It is very pious to do some charity during this month. The Muslims consider Ramadan to be the month to reap blessings from the Almighty and help those in need.
