Mieruko Chan Season 2 is the most eagerly awaited sequel of all time. The first season premiered on October 2021, and little was anticipated of the Passione endeavor. However, as the season progressed, many were taken aback by what had transpired. The debut season of this horror comedy rocketed to the top of the Fall 2021 schedule in less than two months. Soon, the buzz surrounding Mieruko Chan Season 2 became contagious. So, how is the second season faring? Is it making a comeback? Everything you need to know about the return is included below.

Tomoki Izumi is the author and illustrator of the Japanese manga series Mieruko-chan. It began serialization online in November 2018 via Kadokawa’s ComicWalker website, with six tankbon volumes available thus far.

Miko Yotsuya, a high school student, has the unfortunate ability to see frightening ghosts and spirits that harass her and everyone around her. Despite this, Miko makes a concerted effort to deny the presence of ghosts and maintain a regular high school life.

Is There Going to be a Mieruko Chan Season 2?

So far, Mieruko Chan has not been renewed for a second season. Even if Mieruko Chan Season 2 is not announced until 2023, we should be alerted. The first season was excellent work by Studio Passione. It’s improbable that they will be unable to create a second season in 2023, given they do not appear to be overburdened.

Mieruko Chan’s  Season 2 Plot: What Could Be The Plot?

The show’s plot centers on Miko Yotsuya, a high school student who possesses an astonishing and hopeless ability to view extraterrestrial creatures. After seeking assistance from a paranormal television program presenter in an attempt to put a stop to her issues, she discovers the only way to do it is to entirely disregard them as if they never existed. All of this, however, comes at the cost of increasing her anguish, as she is required to act normally despite being scared to her very core.

Just like the previous season, Season 2 is also expected to revolve around Miko Yotsuya and pick up from where Season 1 left off. At the moment, we cannot make further statements about the plot.

Mieruko Chan Recap

The pilot season of Mieruko Chan spends most of its time introducing the characters with whom viewers will spend the next twelve episodes. The first two episodes sketch the outline of this horror world, beginning with the introduction of the lead characters and ending with the world developed around them. Thus, Miko is the heroine who begins to notice ghost beings all about her one day. And this remains the season’s central theme. After spending the majority of the season focusing on her recognizing ghosts and attempting to avoid them uninjured, the finale shifts the focus.

Zen, a close friend of Miko’s, discovers that someone is annihilating the neighborhood’s cats and kittens. Miko initially accused Zen, but subsequently discovered that the cats were being attacked by the ghost of Zen’s late mother. As a result, Miko petitioned the virgin Shrine to expel the ghost permanently. Miko was left with her vision and without the assistance of the maiden Shrine at the end of the first season.
