Giancarlo Esposito Appears In Far Cry 6 Trailer As A Threatening Villain

Giancarlo Esposito

Giancarlo Esposito is no stranger to working on video games, as he previously voiced the character of Usman in Tom Clancy’s The Division 2. He’s also reprising his role as Gustavo Fring from Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.

Ubisoft also revealed that its popular random event-based mode, Far Cry Arcade, returns in Far Cry 6. Players will download and share community-created content to experience the series’ iconic gameplay in new ways.

During the live stream, we had the chance to see a player take on a giant shark with an explosive harpoon and knife in hand, which is pretty much everything I want from Far Cry.

We can’t wait to get our hands on this latest open-world romp from Ubisoft. Giancarlo Esposito’s cast in Far Cry 6 arrives at PS4, Xbox One, and PC on February 27, 2020.

If you’re excited for the newest entry in the franchise and can’t wait to see more footage of Esposito’s performance as Castillo, we’ve embedded the new story trailer below for you.

Two years have passed since Hope County suffered through the worst blizzard in 50 years, wiping out the entire population of its tiny town of Eden’s Gate.

Shortly afterward, Joseph Seed—seductive leader of the Eden’s Gate cult—appeared on the scene. He offered to help rebuild this new Eden for his followers, pledging them access to all of its resources in exchange for absolute loyalty.

But anyone who has played a prior Far Cry title may know that Seed is a power-mad megalomaniac, and his so-called Eden’s Gate is just a mind-control cult.

As the new sheriff of the county, the player is tasked with breaking Seed and his followers out of their trance and repairing the damage they’ve done to save this once-peaceful corner of Montana.

Final Words

It is cool to finally see the enemies of Far Cry act like enemies instead of just standing there.

Must read:

When Jacob asked about the cultists that were standing around doing nothing, I was happy to hear him say, “They haven’t moved since you arrived.” It has always seemed odd how Seed’s followers stood around doing nothing if they were so loyal.
