IPL 2021: Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi to be available for remaining season

Afghanistan star players Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan will be available for the remaining season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 in UAE from next month. There were doubts about their availability amidst the current difficulties in Afghanistan.

However, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) himself has made it clear that the two players will be available for the remaining leagues.

SRH’s CEO confirms

Talking to ANI, SRH CEO said that both the Afghan players will be seen in action in UAE. He said that he has not spoken about what is going on at present but the players will be available for the tournament.

It’s been like this for SRH both players’ performances

Both Nabi and Rashid have benefited SRH immensely in recent times. Rashid is one of the most dangerous leg-spinners in the league.

He has so far taken 85 wickets in 69 matches at IPL with an impressive average of 20.10. He took these wickets with an economic economy of 6.23. Nabi has so far taken 13 wickets and scored 177 runs.

Rashid playing in The Hundred

Rashid is currently playing in the first edition of The Hundred for the Trent Rockets. Former English cricketer Kevin Pietersen has revealed that Rashid is deeply disturbed by what is happening in Afghanistan.

Rashid’s family has not been able to move out of Afghanistan and is very worried about it. He is constantly seen appealing for peace on social media.

IPL’s remaining season to begin on September 19

The remaining season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will resume on September 19 with a big clash between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The first qualifier will be played on October 10 while the eliminator match will be played on October 11.

The second qualifier will be played on October 13 and the final of the league will be played on October 15. 13 matches will be played at the Dubai International Stadium. Seven double-heads will be played in the remaining season.
