Varanasi: Modi inaugurates and lays foundation stones for projects worth over Rs 1583 crore

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday reached Varanasi, his parliamentary constituency, where he inaugurated and laid foundation stones for development work projects worth over Rs 1,583 crore.

Varanasi (UP). Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday reached Varanasi, his parliamentary constituency, where he inaugurated and laid foundation stones for development work projects worth over Rs 1,583 crore.

The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone for several projects and public works costing around Rs 839 crore. These include ‘Centre for Skill and Technical Support of Central Institute of Petrochemical Engineering and Technology’ (CIPET), 143 rural projects under Jal Jeevan Mission and Integrated Pack House for Mango and Vegetable at Karkhiyanv.

Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath were also present with the Prime Minister.

In the afternoon, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the International Cooperation and Convention Center – Rudraksha, which has been constructed with Japanese assistance. After this, he will inspect the Maternal and Child Health Wing of Banaras Hindu University. The Prime Minister will also meet with officials and medical professionals to review the preparedness for Covid.
