Daily Covid Cases Continue To Decline, 2.4 Lakh Cases Found In The 24 Hours In The Country

In the last 24 hours, 2,40,842 new cases of infection with Coronavirus were reported in India, and 3,741 patients died.

With this, the total number of infected people in the country has increased to 2,65,30,132. Of these, 2,99,266 people have lost their lives due to this dangerous virus. 

The number of active cases has come down to 28,05,399.

3.55 lakh patients recovered in the past

3,55,102 patients recovered across the country in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of patients recovering after defeating the epidemic has increased to 2,34,25,467. The country’s recovery rate is 87.76 per cent.

Apart from this, 21,23,782 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours. Since the onset of the epidemic, 32.85 crore coronavirus tests have been conducted in the country.

These are the most affected states.

In Total, 55,53,225 people have been found infected, and 87,300 people have died in Maharashtra. So far, 23,98,925 people have been infected, and 24,658 deaths in Karnataka, the second most affected state. Similarly, Kerala, with 23,22,146 cases and 7,170 deaths, and Tamil Nadu with 18,06,861 cases and 20,046 deaths are the next two most affected states.

How are the circumstances of the most affected states?

Talking about new cases, 26,133 people were infected in Maharashtra the previous day, while 682 patients died. There has been a steady decline in cases here for the last few days. Similarly, in Karnataka, 31,183 people were infected, and 451 patients died, while in Kerala, 28,514 cases were reported, and 176 deaths occurred. In Tamil Nadu, 35,873 new cases were reported, and 448 patients died.

What is the status of the vaccination campaign?

19,50,04,184 doses of vaccine have been applied so far. Only 16,04,542 doses were applied on the previous day. The slow pace of vaccination remains a matter of great concern.
