Corona: More than four lakh cases reported in the past day, record 4,187 deaths

In the last 24 hours, 4,01,078 new cases of infection with the Coronavirus reported in India, and 4,187 patients died. These are the highest number of deaths in a single day since the onset of the epidemic.

With this, the total number of infected people in the country has increased to 2,18,92,676. Of these, 2,38,270 people have lost their lives due to this dangerous virus.

The number of active cases has increased to 37,23,446.

3.18 lakh patients recovered in the past

3,18,609 patients recovered across the country in the last 24 hours.

With this, the total number of patients recovering from the epidemic has increased to 1,79,30,960. The country’s recovery rate is 81.95 per cent.

Apart from this, 18,08,344 tests conducted across the country in the last 24 hours. Since the onset of the epidemic, 30.03 crore coronavirus tests have done in the country.

Are these the most affected states?

If we look at the most affected states, 49,96,758 people infected in Maharashtra and 74,413 people have died.

So far, 18,38,885 people were infected and 17,804 deaths in the second most affected state Karnataka.

Similarly, Kerala, with 18,24,856 cases and 5,682 deaths, and Delhi with 12,92,867 cases and 18,739 deaths are the following two most affected states and union territories.

How are the circumstances of the most affected states?

Fifty-four thousand twenty-two people were infected in Maharashtra on the previous day, while 898 patients died. The situation here has worsened due to the high speed of infection.

Similarly, in Karnataka, 48,781 people were found infected, and 592 patients died, while in Kerala, 38,460 cases reported, and 54 deaths occurred.

In Delhi, 19,832 new cases reported, and 341 patients died.

What is the status of the vaccination campaign?

16,73,46,544 doses of vaccine used so far—22,97,257 doses used on the previous day. A vaccination campaign has started for all adults in the country.
